Who thinks Filipinas should wear bikinis when they go to the beach?

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin in Exotic Beach Women

I mean my goodness, I only saw like two bikini girls there in four trips and it borders on being ridiculous. Don’t start preaching to me about the reasons why they don’t, I already know. It’s like the one place on earth where chicks should wear skimpy beach attire because they have the beautiful skin for tanning, slim sexy bodies and it’s hot. Instead they were long shorts and long sleeved shirts with big straw hats and then they put sunblock on also. Give us white kanos a break and put on them bikinis. I’m not being a pig but paying you all a compliment. Over here we have to suffer looking at the cellulite whale women in tiny spandex beach wear, so we go to the trouble of coming to the exotic tropics to see some beauty and instead see fully clothed girls splashing it up. Whos’ with me on this one?
Thanks for the kind answers, and to the not so kind, well, you all totally missed the point. I was not being a perv or putting them down, but was paying a compliment to their beauty. Some of you that answered ignorantly have issues; not all kanos are pigs, and I sure am not one. I just appreciate beauty. It was all meant to be light hearted, but I should know better than to try to be nice on YA.

not really I prefer the shorts and shirt. It still leaves something to the imagination where a bikini shows it all, better to imagine and visualize

You can’t blame the Flips because it is in their culture. They are conservative people. U have to understand that Flips skin is very sensitive to the sun, too. Most of them get skin disease from sun exposure. And you know how ladies are. Skin is one of their assets that’s why they really take care of it.

They don’t need to get darker because by nature their skin is tan already. In their country they don’t go for dark skinned ladies. They don’t go to the beach to show off their hot, sexy bodies. That’s your issue now. You have to be a really trusted close friend for them to show themselves in bikinis.

I understand what you mean that when you go to the beach, u shld wear less but that’s just the way Filipinas are. They’re religious and in their religion, you have to respect your body by not exposing it too much to strangers.

Filipina who have no scabies on their legs and butt has the right to wear bikinis. We should consider other who refuses to wear one probably because they have secret hidden behind their sleeves.

yup, i get what you’re saying.

One thing i don’t understand are those women who go all the way to the beach and go to the water iwth their shirts and shorts on! Its really funny, like trhey forgot to remove that extra layer of clothing before going to the water. But its true, its part of the culture. It was worse 5 or 10 years ago though. At least now i don’t see anyone in the beach wearing denim pants anymore!

It is because you are just one of those S—–d guys who go to countries to make fun of their people and their traditions, if not rape their women. Or perhaps you are just one of those who can’t afford to go to those places where these ladies who wear those swim wear you want to see.

As you know, most Filipinas have brown skin and therefore easily tan under the sun, and so don’t like exposing their bodies to the destructive rays that are easily absorbed by colored skin. So you see it is not merely out of shyness that these ladies don’t all wear bikinis, but just maybe they also want to avoid your no-good ogling eyes.

They have more sensitive skin that those paper-white "cellulite whale of women in tiny spandex beach wear" you mentioned who are found in your place, whose skin reject or don’t absorb the harsh rays. Seems like you forget or simply don’t know your science.

    Just don’t start now, okay???

And goody M, kindly limit the Flip word to yourself and those friends of yours who accept being called flips. I resent that term being used on us regardless of your well-meaning intentions, if indeed they really are. Your word of endearment is rather repulsive. .

Yet when you travel to Florida and California ( In spite of what the T V would have you believe ) almost all the woman are more than just a little fat and still wear two piece suits ! i just dont get it ! And no i am not a pervert but i just think beautiful young woman should not be so ashamed of the beauty God has bestowed on them !

If you really want to ogle at Filipinas wearing the skimpy spandex wear, then go to the swimming pools. While culture frowns on too much flesh baring on public, it would be awkward and so weird not to wear a swimsuit in the pools.

baring too much flesh would cause us too much trouble (with our parents, hehehe)

i’ll give you some of the few reasons that i know and think of:
    1. the filipino culture – we’re still a bit conservative in terms of those issues

    2. bathers are a bit expensive. rather than buying those ones, we’d rather have it for our breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    3. either we don’t have great bodies to flaunt so we try to hide it.

    4. we’re comfortable wearing shorts and tops.

    5. it will take time before we could get over all these. =)

Filipinas are very beautiful, in general, with warm dark skin (my girlfriend says she is "black", but I think her skin is lovely). But, they are also in a very religious country. Filipinos are conservative in public. I don’t think this is going to change in the near future.

i totally love wearing them. even if i’m not skinny i still have the guts to wear them..to hell what other people say. and it’s better to swim just wearing those. it’s more comfy.

so here i stand to tell all filipinas out there not to be shy with their body. show it off. it’s not that we want to be made ‘bastos’ with those guys, i believe it’s just how you carry yourself. you can still look ‘respectful’ even if your just wearing a 2-piece. have fun with yourself! enjoy the heat!

Give me a break guys. They always say Filipinas are conservatives etc. But the truth is Filipinas or Filipinos are not comfortable with their bodies because they think a lot of what other people say (especially what other Filipinos are saying). If you show off a bit of flesh they will think you’re a flirt or a tart. If you show off a bit of curves on the wrong places they will think you’ve got a lot of nerves to show off your fat body. I am a Filipina and find Filipinos generally rude when it comes to commenting about our bodies. I am UK size 8 which is still small by the way, and whenever I go back to the Philippines the first comments I ever get is not how have you been but "you gained weight". How rude is that? In the mall there’s always lots of banners about slimming products pills, tea, drinks etc. For goodness sake, just be comfortable with your bodies. Filipinas are not conservatives anymore. They are just taboos about everything. Disagree with me? Tell me is there no teenage pregnancy, sex before marriage and live-in partners in the Philippines? If you can prove then I’ll take my words back.

hahaha…. thats a good point there. Well, basically we filipinas are more demure (so to speak..) and conservative. But if you put it this way, bikinis or swimwear are for swimming, so some people just don’t see the logic and purpose of it. Honestly, I started wearing bikinis after I got married, never had the gutts to show off what I had when I was still single, so right now I’m proud to say that I’m showing off my post natal fats (lol…). It’s not the best bod in the world but hey, I feel a lot more confident right now thinking I don’t have much people staring at me (specially the perverted ones…lol)

I totally understand where you are coming from. However, you have to understand our culture. We are not brought up to show off. Filipinos (men and women) are very humble. When people gives a Pinoy a compliment like "you have a pretty face", we usually answer "hindi naman" meaning "not really". Secondly, we have been taught to be discreet and since we are mostly Catholic we are very modest about baring skin. One more thing we are very "mahiyain" or shy/timid about showing skin. I guess this stems from being brought up the old fashion way. That its not good to be too proud or showy. And lastly, it is only westerners that love to have the golden tan skin. Filipinos/Filipinas love to have the lighter skin so covering up in the beaches and putting sunblock on would enable us to preserve our skin color. There are even some who resort to skin whiteners to achieve this.

well I’m gonna be neutral with this, yes its true we are insecure with showing off skin. But in the philippine conservation is also part of our culture, we can also get bad complements just by wearing a bikini. Thats a problem, the last time I was in Philippines, which was back at 2005, I saw lots of girls in my beach wearing bikinis.

I think anyone can wear a bikini if they feel comfortable with it. For Filipinos, it’s downright silly to wear a bikini and bring an umbrella. No kidding, I’ve seen it.
