School was over pretty fast. Megan drove to the mall to get some shopping done, while I ran home.
Megan? Kelsey? John called from the living room.
No, just me, Kelsey I said. I could hear him get up from the couch.
Oh, well then, why dont you drive down to the pizza place and get one for tonights dinner, alright?

Yes, you are. You live in my house.
John, last time I checked, you dont have a house, or a job! This place belongs to Megan and me. So you, do what I say. Understand?
He smiled, but it wasnt a nice smile.
No, you listen to me. Everyone in this town thinks that you and Megan are my neices. So, technically, Im in control of you.
Dont.Tell.Me.What.To.Do. I growled. My vision was tinged with scarlett. He kept on smirking. That was it. I cracked. My control broke. In half a second, I had his neck in my unbreakable grasp. I lifted him off the floor. He squirmed, gasping for air.
You cant kill me, Megan will find out.
Ill deal with the situation after youre gone.
He scoffed. Yeah, right. Meganll be back in like a few minutes. You cant kill me in such a short time.
I smirked. Oh, Yeah? Watch me. I tightened my grip. He started choking, desperately trying to breathe. I laughed, but i wasnt amused. I loosened my grip a bit, twisted sharply to the side, satisfied when I heard a sickening crack. Johns body dropped to the floor. His eyes wide and staring, like he couldnt believe what Id just done, stared up at the white ceiling.
Outside, a car door slammed.
Kels? Im home! Megan called. I stayed where I was, in front of Johns corpse. Megan came in carrying a ton of shopping bags. Hey, whatre we having for dinner? I didnt answer. Hello? I said—Her words broke off, ending in a gasp as she turned around, looking right at the body on the ground.
Oh.My.God. WHAT THE DID YOU DO? Did you kill him? Oh My God. You killed John. How could you?
Her eyes were wide open, dazed and shocked at what was in front of her. She couldnt comprehend it.
I killed him. I said.
Why? she asked, her voice hoarse.
He went too far. He treated me like a servant, and I thought it would be best if I killed him.
What?
You know what I said. My control broke. He pushed it. I was mad and upset and he had it coming, anyways.He didnt help us. All he did was take up space, and use up money.
Yes, that might be true. But you killed him. That was taking a Life.You just murdered somebody.Its wrong.
So? Its not like it hasnt happened before.
She shook her head. Just get rid of the body. Somewhere where nobody can find it.
I nodded. I grabbed the body, and ran out the door. The wind whipped my hair into my face. I ran into the middle of a small meadow. I took out a lighter from my jacket and a few matches. I lit them, and I threw them onto the corpse. In seconds, the flames engulfed the entire body, swallowing it, and leaving nothing but ashes.
It was my fault. Now that I had regained control, I realized how out of character I had acted. I had let the monster inside me take over. I killed John. Not by accident,like i had with Riley, but on purpose.
I.Was.A.Monster.
I ran farther away, onto the beach. (A/N: I dont know if they have beaches in Atlanta, but yea lets just say they do)
I sat down by the ocean, and cried. My tears stained my face, leaving wet streaks. The ocean looked like a dark, bottomless hole of hatred.
Just like my heart.
